520 3 |a The importance of emerging market economies in the world economy increased substantially since the beginning of 21st century. During the last fifteen years, remarkable economic growth witnessed in emerging countries especially in terms of foreign trade and investment flow they became the main partners for advanced countries. EMEs countries are home more than 90% of world population and this makes them the largest consumer market and increases the attractiveness for foreign investors. The economic policies that is implemented by the governments of biggest EMEs countries such as China, India, Brazil that encourage the free trade and movement of capital were the main drivers of economic growth. Even during the years of financial crisis, the group of BRICS countries had performed the relatively high growth rate compared to advanced economies. The main objective of this study is to analyze and determine the changing nature of the power in the world relations between BRICS and advanced economies and to figure out the dependence relations of emerging countries with foreign countries. Having the open economy brings the possibility to be vulnerable to the external shocks especially if the country depends highly on export. The change of global demand or fluctuations in global merchandise prices can have the direct impact on economic performance. This study will try to shed a light on the interconnectedness of some EMEs countries and advance economies in respect foreign trade and investment flows.
