520 3 |a For the destinations to be successful, it is important to know what image they transmit for the potential consumers. The image of the destination influences the decision-making behavior of potential tourists and the satisfaction level regarding the tourist experience. The capital of Russian Federation – Moscow was chosen for the investigation of the image it has among international tourists. To achieve this aim, it was important to define the meaning of the tourist destination image and what types and forms it has. It also includes the analysis of the images’ modification during different stages of the travel experience – before, during and after trip. This research found that image of Moscow is of high need to be re-developed and the gained information can be important for market managers to understand what was interesting and uncomfortable for the tourists during trip and the reasons that may prevent them from making trip to Moscow again
