Abstract:In recent years, there has been an increasing interest in social media, which has grown enormously by now. Not just only one social media, all of them. The topic of my diploma work is the role, usefulness and possibilities of using social media in corporate strategies. The reason I chose this topic is because social media is present in almost every segment of life. It is so huge, that almost half of the world is active at least on one social media platform and more and people are joining day by day. My thesis is built around ShoppieGo application, I am going to study the application itself that we are working with at my internship place, Marquard Media Magyarország. In this paper I plan to cover several topics from my previous and current studies, supported by a theoretical part and a primary research part.
