Kivonat:Foreign capital, which was ignored sufficiently before the globalization process in the world, has become the center of attention of all developed and developing countries, with its contribution to national development understood today. With globalization, economic boundaries have disappeared, free circulation of capital has increased, trade has been liberalized, and thus, intercultural interaction and consumer habits have started to become similar. Today, countries are preparing much more attractive conditions in order to increase their share of foreign capital, as the contributions of foreign capital to the country's economy and development are increasing day by day. In the scope of this thesis, some terms regarding foreign direct investment were explained and The Dunning model was analyzed. Through the Dunning model, locational factors affecting foreign direct investment were structured under 3 groups. Then, the current inward foreign direct investment of Turkey, locational advantages and disadvantages of Turkey were mentioned respectively. In the last section of the research paper, the status of the created investment environment with the help of structural reforms, and the amount of FDI coming to Turkey was compared in this framework.
