Abstract:Abstract  The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) is known as the most influential geopolitical and economic project of the century. Mongolia has been a part of the initiative since 2016. After four years of development, Mongolia now seen as a connector of the major Belt and Road economic corridor. Although, the initiative seen as opportunity to develop the nation, the implementation of project has yet been comprehensively studied nor a research paper written on the economic aspects of the initiative from Mongolia’s perspective.   This thesis will provide a key insight in current development of China-Mongolia-Russian Economic Corridor and Mongolian relations with multilateral institutions, given the BRI context. This thesis seeks to analyse how the corridors that passes through Mongolian Eastern, Central and Western regions will be beneficial for the country, particularly Western Corridor. This thesis finds and shows that Western regions highly benefit from the initiative, especially in rural areas and decentralize the current economic conditions. Finally, this thesis shows that current strategy and implementation of the initiative provides genuine benefit for the country.
