Description
Abstract:The thesis revolves around the different characteristics of the Hungarian and the American cultures, and the impact of these differences on intercultural organizational life. Through the cultural dimensions and concepts of Hofstede, Trompenaars and Hall the characteristics of the two examined cultures are presented, then using quantitative (questionnaire) and qualitative (interviews) research methods, further differences are examined. Misunderstandings and the possible source of conflicts are discussed, recommendations and possible ways of handling these situations in cross-cultural business life are provided.
