Kivonat:ABSTRACTRussian-Hungarian Economic relations have moved forward in the past 10 years despite all the complications that arose during this period. One of these was the Ukrainian conflict and the resulting sanctions and changes that followed. It has created many situations that would not be prior. Sanctions were created to stop the Russian Federation with its actions but ended up hurting EU member states' economies more than the Russian Federation. As other countries do not feel these changes as Hungary does, the sanctions are still ongoing. On the other hand, some occurrences arose that Hungary is profiting from, resulting from the Ukrainian Revolution of 2014. On the brink of the start of the biggest project in Hungary since the socialistic era, the Paks 2 nuclear power plant project shows that there`s again a new wave of increasing Russian-Hungarian economic cooperation. Hungary multiple times declared its concept for development as a country and it includes the Russian Federation as an economic ally.
