| 520 | 3 | |a Abstract Currently, I am working for Air France-KLM as a Cargo Sales Trainee. My top activity is to do the administration of live animal transportation, but my contract will be terminated at the end of December. The company offered me to establish a GSA (General Sales Agent) company, where they can outsource the administration of this product. Air France-KLM would like to outsource it until the first of March, which means that my company should be ready until that time. Due to the shortness of available time, my hypothesis is that, if it is possible to establish a GSA in five months. I will investigate this question and the legal, infrastructural and organizational environment behind the industry of live animal transportation. First of all, I studied the general market position of Air France-KLM to see how much potential is in live animal transportation at this carrier, which consist of a market share analysis and the reflection of the customers. I also researched the most popular destinations and animals. After the market position, I researched the supply chain of animal transportation from the point when the shipper decides to ship their animal until the consignee gets notification from the carrier, that the animal arrived at the destination. As the base of my thesis is to establish a company, I also needed to investigate how to do this. A lawyer guide me through the whole process and answered all my questions, while I read a book about the establishment. From this researched I found that it is possible to establish a single-member limited company in such a short time, even though it will be hard work, as I will work alone. | |
