Kivonat:Nowadays, climate change is receiving more and more attention, and it is felt across the world. This process has various types of effects on the environment and many industries, which were investigated by several scientists over the past years. Tourism is also affected by climate change. However, some main activities of this industry also indicate environmental pollution and more water usage, which causes the phenomenon. Furthermore, among the effects on the tourism industry, coastal destinations are likely to suffer the most from the causes of climate change. This thesis explores the potential impacts on coastal destination choice with a Croatian case study. As a coastal destination with favorable beaches and climate, Croatia relies heavily on tourism, especially in the summer months. The paper investigates tourists’ responses to climate change with mixed research using quantitative and qualitative data analysis methods. The findings show that climate change will have effects on tourist destination choice. Due to changes in weather and environment, a certain amount of people will choose different destinations or change the timing of their travel, which will influence seasonality. Furthermore, coastal destinations will not perceive the effects of changes to the same extent.
