| 520 | 3 | |a During the entirety of human history, money, or other means to conclude trades has been a core part of civilization. For thousands of years money was one of the main driving forces behind almost every major historical event. But what happens, when a country's currency start losing its value on an extraordinary level? What measures need to be taken in order to restore the original order to the financial world? Is it possible to return to how things were, or do we have to rely on reformations in all cases. In this thesis I will look at a number of examples throughout the world, where hyperinflation caused the most damage, eithrt during its episode, or in the long-term. Also, since we are currently living in a perido, which will no doubt be recorded in the future's history books due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I elaborated, how the virus could affect the modern economy; I also included a comparison of the United States of America and Hungary, looking at the present and one century in the past, when the Spanish flu epidemic tore through the world like a typhoon. | |
