Kivonat:Japanese tourists tend to visit prestigious places and miss out on other life changing experiences. These destinations cannot penetrate the Japanese market, and therefore miss out on a significant amount of revenue. In order to be able to apply adequate targeted marketing and encourage these tourists to visit specific places too, the companies and tourism suppliers need to get to know their customers first. This study is aiming to identify the different push and pull factors of the Japanese tourists with a focus on Hungary and especially Budapest. With the help of the results the study will provide suffiecient data about the specific market to the suppliers, enabling them to provide the services that their customers seek. This way the Hungarian service providers can achieve a longer period of stay from the tourists, and choosing Hungary instead of the competing countries.
