Kivonat:E-commerce is now an essential form of trade that is expanding expeditiously. In 21st of century, as a result of the widely spread e-commerce framework, innumerable countries, international organizations, and institutions are giving special emphasis to and exploring various development aspects of it. Development of internet era emerged the implementation of electronic commerce to trading life and created a connection between individuals, business and world, letting the costumer to buy online from his/her place.  Companies and customers prefer e-commerce for variety benefits that both can reach a wider audience by using this tool. A definition of e-commerce is the buying and selling of all sorts of products and services through the use of computers, electronic communication channels, and other associated technologies, including the internet. Attempts are being made in this research to investigate the potential growth of e-commerce and to broaden the scope of the studies into the role of electronic commerce in the economy during the COVID epidemic, as well as to review the topic from a historical viewpoint. This research is divided in to six sections. The first section indicates about the concept of e-commerce, with the provided definitions and explanations. In the second section, discusses the role of e-commerce in economic development and international trade in world economy. Third chapter focuses on mainly perspectives and analyzing of survey which is conducted in Azerbaijani community as well as comparison with EU nations. The fourth chapter focuses on COVID pandemic and its effects on traditional and electronic commerce. The last chapter mainly talks about the summary points of this study. The findings of the study indicated that it has been an increase in the number off people who have access to e-commerce during the COVID-19koutbreak. This demonstrates that e-commerce may benefit a community in a variety of ways, one of which is through boosting economic factors during the Covid-19 epidemic. Those interested in learning more about the role of e-commerce during the pandemic may find this study to be a useful resource.
