| Abstract: | The topic of my research dissertation work is to study role of community-based tourisms and its current stage in the villages near Koytendag Mountains in Turkmenistan. The reason why I have chosen this topic is because I have a huge interest since high school years about Koytendag Mountains also here at university subject ecotourism, in which I learned about rural areas, community-based tourism, and ecotourism related topics and information, which pushed me towards to choose and study about villages nearby Koytendag Mountains. Also, this place has a quite unique, unspoiled environment and potentially it could become very popular place for the tourists, in near future, if it’s studied and planned accurately. In this research dissertation, author would like to analyze in which stage is the area using Butlers Tourism Area Life Cycle Model (TALC) (Hwang, 2017), what are the contribution of the locals to the tourism in the area and its natural reserved sights and finally access role of community perception in the current stage of the area. Although to find out what things can be done in order to increase number of visitors to the region and clear the dust of the surprise box. |
