| Abstract: | Recognizing the significance of concerts is a greatly undervalued sector in the tourism industry. The purpose of this paper is to highlight the importance of music events as a subgroup of cultural tourism. The hypothesis states that they have a great influence on the local economy. The primary research is done by making interviews with people working at concert venues. The investigation is focused on the capital city of Hungary, Budapest. The reason behind the chosen venues is that with their unique attributes they attract many people, contributing to the industry. By the end of this dissertation the effects of such facilities will be proven. |
