| Kivonat: | Valencia is the third biggest Spanish city, it is the home of Fallas, one of the biggest street festivals in Europe. Valencia hosts plenty of other events as well. I focused on three different main areas: the tourism of Valencia, the impacts of hosting events in Valencia and the relationship between the local stakeholders and the destination management, and governance. I made four interviews with different people from the Valencian tourism industry, which resulted in some interesting responses. The tourism season of the city and the events that take place there, have a connection as I found out at the end of my research. To sum up, some events have a stronger effect on the tourism of Valencia, while the tourism management of the city is well-organized, but there are some aspects where some changes or development would be preferred by the interviewed stakeholders. |
