Kivonat:On the 30th of January 2020 the world was changed forever. That day The World Health Organization (WHO) declared COVID-19 as a global epidemic, formally known as a pandemic. For business owners especially, whom already had trouble with labour shortages this was catastrophic. The retail and tourism sector was undoubtably hit the hardest, especially in Hungary. Business owners were collectively trying to figure out one thing… How were they going to keep their businesses running Sacrifices had to be made. Layoffs, and other extreme cost-cutting measures had to be implemented to ensure survival. But it wasn’t enough. Millions of small to mid-sized businesses had to be closed almost overnight, globally. Stores that remained open were barely scraping by. But a small percentage of entrepreneurs saw this as an opportunity. An opportunity to create something new. An opportunity to innovate in an otherwise stagnant sector. Autonomous technologies can solve these problems.
