| Kivonat: | It is becoming increasingly difficult to ignore the importance of sustainability regarding tourism and attractions. Therefore this paper is focused on the development and management strategies of sustainable attractions and tourism in the Republic of Korea. I gave an overview of Korean tourism to help the reader have a general understanding of Korean tourism through the analysis of tourism data statistics, and attractions in each region, including the unique selling points of Korean tourism. The paper gives an insight into sustainable tourism development plans in South Korea and ecological trends, proposing a future vision for more sustainable tourism in South Korea. The literature review concentrates on attractions such as definition, development, and management. Evaluation of the impact and the relationship between tourism and the climate crisis is an integral part of the thesis. The qualitative research method is used, by interviewing three respondents who have travelled to Korea. |
