520 3 |a The aim of this thesis is to compare the branding efforts and the brand image of the two most popular city destinations of Central Europe, Budapest and Prague, and to point out any areas or factors in which Budapest needs to improve in order to refine its brand and brand image. I have used a combination of primary and secondary research to arrive to my conclusion at the end of the thesis. In this thesis I have concluded that Budapest needs to initiate an in-depth branding strategy in order to construct a truly feasible brand. The primary research consists of a questionnaire and observations, while the secondary research involves reviewing academic literature, websites, and journal articles.
