Kivonat: | Covid 19 and the pandemic had a major effect on the whole world, but it has been the most challenging for the Tourism industry, it has not only affected the number of guests but also has had a major influence on employment, operation, and the economy of the firms. We can say that the tourism industry was the hardest hit sector by the epidemic. In this empirical research, mixed methods were used, with quantitative and qualitative data collection methods by analysing the publicly available data and documents. The principal aims of this research paper include analysing the influences of the epidemic from the employees' and employers' points of view because many jobs were at a risk due to temporary shutdowns of the hotels. The study also gives an insight into the topic of how people changed their habits of travelling and staying at a hotel due to the regulations. It was also searched whether they were willing to travel abroad or rather turn to domestic tourism. The further analysis investigates the importance of the steps the government made to help hotels survive the pandemic and how the decisions of the government affected the industry. The paper also provides information about the economic and financial effects of the pandemic on the sector. |
