Description
Abstract:My research investigates the relationship between a city’s location and its economic development. Mainly the difference between the capital (and its agglomeration) and the small cities far from bigger towns will be examined. The main questions are the following: Are the economic opportunities better for a city located near the capital Does the developed infrastructure help the capital and its agglomeration to achieve greater success in business Do geographical conditions affect a city’s development Is location a key determinator of a town’s success The method used to gain the necessary information, to be able to successfully carry out an examination of the following topic was gathering sources (in Russian and English also), reading/researching them carefully to look for connection between location and economic development. This careful investigation led to the conclusion that there is a strong correlation between the location of a city and its economic development, and that money is mostly concentrated around Moscow.
