| 520 | 3 | |a My research topic is asset freezing and blocked accounts. Unfortunately, the topic is currently very topical because, during the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, we have heard about this type of sanction many times. However, I will not examine this conflict directly but deal with asset freeze in general. I want to explore the asset freeze, where it is placed among the countries' sanctions, and its role. First, I would like to learn about the sanctioning bases of the asset freeze, its specific effects, and what it entails, perhaps in the context of new research. At this point, I prefer to put it in context. I still cover the details of asset freezing, such as its specificity, practical application, and specific cases. During the description of the sanction, its direct impact on people is revealed through its legal application environment. I will review many legal texts in addition to previous descriptive cases during my research. The vast majority of my sources will come from the USA and EU official websites. I want to enrich this secondary information acquisition with a questionnaire. In the questionnaire, I strive for representativeness. I want to ask students who are studying economics in the BGE or have recently graduated from the BGE whether they have prior knowledge of this topic. The primary purpose of the questionnaire is to provide information and to present the average opinion about asset freezing. Shocking details could be found concerning its use. I realized that I have to narrow down the investigation of the asset freeze to the UN, USA, and EU because otherwise, it would be too immense. This research can be developed in the direction of asset freeze ethical usage, threat posed by cryptocurrencies. | |
