520 3 |a As world is continuously changing and adopting with the fast-growing technology. People also want to turn their gaming passion as full-time profession and want to make their living through it as there is also a lack of normal traditional job. This research work focuses on the youth of subcontinent who want to choose gaming as a career and what are different aspects of their career in this industry and how government are responding to this change and adaptation. In the first and literature review section, thesis topic was discussed in full possible detail. All the subtopics and all related different aspects of the gaming industry were discussed. what is e-sport and how it is different from traditional sports What are different career transitions of a player and how fast this industry is growing in the world And it was also discussed how e-sports are being treated in subcontinent and if there is any previous role played by governments All the data and information used in this section and literature review was collected by already done research works, thesis, publications, articles, and different websites that contains data and information any context regarding gaming industry. In the second section, qualitative and quantitative research was completed through conducting an online survey and interviews. After analyzing and examining all the literature, questions for interview and online questionnaire were determined to achieve and collect the desired information from the respondents. Questions for both methods were made in same manner. In first part they are asked about themselves and other parts included questions related research work. In the final and last section, collected data and information through survey and interviews was analyzed and examined thoroughly. All the data concluded that youth of subcontinent want to choose gaming as their career and want to earn their living through it. Money and fame were important stimulators. And youth want to change their passion into a successful profession. But there are also a lot of hurdles including societal pressure, parents, and no guarantee of being successful in this profession. There are many ways and different sources to earn money in this industry, but this involves a high risk too. According to data, there is no support from the government in fact they are creating difficulties and challenges for the gaming industry
