Abstract:This studyfocuses on how standardization and transparency affect Islamic banks' abilityto contend in Dubai. The study framework is built around the primary factorsthat affect how competitive Islamic banks are, including the regulatoryenvironment, the economic climate, standardization and transparency, technologyadoption, the degree of innovation, and corporate governance norms. The studyused a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative survey results withexpert-led qualitative interviews. The sample consists of Dubai-based Islamicbanks. The findings show that uniformity and transparency significantly enhancecustomer happiness, profitability, and market share—three important competitiveconsiderations for Islamic banks in Dubai. The study also reveals thatstandardization and transparency favor Dubai's Islamic banking market'scompetitive landscape by boosting the degree of competition and encouraging theadmission of new companies. The study offers insightful recommendations forimproving the competitiveness of the Islamic banking sector in Dubai fordecision-makers and Islamic banking experts.Keywords: Islamicbanking, Dubai, Competitive landscape, Standardization, and transparency.
