Abstract: | This study explores how organizations have or still have adapted to the new norm, the legacy of the COVID-19 pandemic and its long-lasting effects. The COVID-19 pandemic has drastically changed the world, and organizations have been forced to adapt quickly to the new reality. The purpose of this thesis is to explore change management and leadership strategies that organizations can use to find the best practices in times of crisis with a specific literature review, and case studies analysis to provide examples of successful strategies implemented by organizations during the pandemic. Moreover, additional data were collected from a sample of leaders across different industries to get more specific insights into how the post-pandemic world will look in the future. The findings suggest that organizations should adopt an agile and flexible approach to change management, prioritize employee engagement and communication, and invest in technology to enable remote work. Leaders should also demonstrate empathy, emotional intelligence, and vision to inspire their teams and navigate uncertainty. This thesis contributes to the existing literature by providing practical guidance for organizations on adapting to the new reality and emerging stronger from the pandemic. |
