The paper analyses Angola's position in theglobal value chains and how it impacts the country's economy. I have chosenthis topic because I found it very interesting since there is not much available data on traditional websites about Angola's participation in the GVC. As an Angolan citizen, I wanted to make a study on it. The paper starts by analyzing the country's economic situation, fromwhich sectors the economy is sustainable, and how it contributes to theregional and global economy, as well as regional and global value chains. Italso analyses if the GVC has an impact on it. The analyses emphasize thatAngola's current economic situation is starting to get better compared to theprevious year, but it relies more on the oil sector which is not good. But thegovernment is taking measures to change this situation. The paper analysis emphasizes that Angola's participation in regionaland global value chains is not very significant, except for the oil sector, andmaybe some agricultural products, as well as diamonds. The analysis alsoemphasizes that GVC has an influence on the economy of Angola. As GVC is theprimary support for the main development of the economy such as the production, trade, and labor market, characteristics of GVC participation are importantfrom the point of view of economic development. The country's abundant naturalresources serve as the foundation for itsparticipation in the trade asexport products.
