| Abstract: | This thesis aims to contribute to the identification of thereasons for differences in innovation performance between the regions ofHungary and the Czech Republic. The aspect studied is policy. A comparison ofthe public sector activities and strategies, the organizational and legislativeframework of the system are presented and compared. The thesis is divided intothree main parts: regional policy, regional innovation systems, and smartspecialization strategies. Each chapter involves a theoretical part introducingthe concept, and a practical part presenting the analysis in Hungary and theCzech Republic. |
