| Abstract: | AbstractThis thesis aims to analyseand map the potential disruptive impacts of Artificial Intelligence (AI) onbusiness development, with a special emphasis on decision-making. Currentevents, such as the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 or the Russo-Ukrainian war of2022 has called for the rapid development of AI, that is able to operate in anunprecedentedly efficient way during the times of uncertainty. This acceleratedprogress of AI has caught the attention of scientists, experts and scholarsfrom around the globe, investigating the potential impacts of the technology.My thesis investigates and demonstrates the expected benefits, challenges, andthreats that AI may bring to businesses. Through secondary and primaryresearch, the study reveals that AI will surely disrupt both the public andprivate sectors, and it will have a significant impact on an organization'sdevelopment. Whether the integration of AI will bring positive or negativeoutcomes, it solely depends on the actions taken by executives and managers. AIoffers infinite benefits, such as enhancing productivity and reducing inputs,but firms should also consider the precariousness of the technology. Albeit, itis important to discuss and put an emphasis on the risks and threats associatedwith it. The study sheds light on numerous threats associated with AI,including the elimination of human labor force, extreme pressure on employees,and unprecedented fraudulent actions. Companies should investigate thesethreats before fully deploying AI, as they vary depending on the organizationalstructure, size, and exposure. The research reveals, that a pre-defined AIadaption strategy could ensure a favorable outcome and help prepare the companyfor unforeseeable situations. If implemented appropriately, AI could ensuresustainable prosperity for all actors on the market.
