Abstract:Abstract The bank is an essential part of our economy and financial system. As they play a significant role in our economy, their performance is highly monitored and seen as an important economic activity. In the last decade, European banks have been steadily increasing their capital and strengthening their balance sheets. This recapitalization started during the 2008 financial crisis and hence made the European banking sector stronger and have a more solid foundation. To keep the banking operation stable, strong supervision is needed. This brings the CAMEL rating system, which is used in many different countries around the world, to the limelight. In order to anticipate and predict the future failure and risks, CAMEL This study is conducted to evaluate the financial performance of the Raiffeisen Bank and OTP Bank through the CAMEL rating system. The objective of the study is to analyze their financial performance and compare their activities from the conclusion of the analysis.
