| 520 | 3 | |a In the assignment Nike’s supply chain and warehousing issues will be investigated. In recent years it was clear that Hungarian Nike stores are lacking in size ranges, product diversity and quick item backup. The objective of the project is to look at, how supply chain and the storage unite is operating as of today and how it changed in recent years and how much is this effecting the product availability. The following project is going to examine the problem from a customer stand point and also from an employer’s side next to the theoretical perspective. Different parts of the supply chain were investigated in order to see which are the parts that need further improvement and modernization for example shipment of goods communication with supplier, or the system of the storage unite. The identification of these components was facilitated by the implementation of surveys and interviews, supplemented by the support of theoretical frameworks. To ensure the acquisition of the most precise and first-hand information possible for the aim of conducting primary research, a survey was administered to the staff employed at Nike retail establishments also to the customers of Hungarian Nike stores and an interview with a Nike back off house manager. These researches helped to answer the hypothesis whether an updated warehouse with digitalized inventory management can elevate Hungarian Nike stores to be more efficient. | |
