| Abstract: | My thesis covers and investigates the complicated relationship between fundamental analysis and stock price valuation, and it is focusing on Citigroup Inc. My study starts by introducing the thesis's background and by presenting the problem statement, and the research questions which are centered around this relationship. My literature review covers market efficiency and the role of fundamental analysis in stock valuation and investment decision making. I continue with an analysis of Citi’s income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement to measure its financial performance and compare it to its competitors. I finish the study with the explanation of the Discounted Cash Flow and the Dividend Discount models and their practical application to Citigroup. |
