| Kivonat: | In this postmodern world, guest preferences have changed, leading to the emergence of the “new tourist” group, who are looking for something special in terms of accommodation. The phenomenon of luxury and the importance of experience have changed significantly over the years, which contributed to the emergence of alternative types of accommodations. The aim of my thesis is to identify what makes domestic treehouses luxurious. To obtain a comprehensive examination of the subject, a mixed research methodology was used. A questionnaire was applied as the quantitative method to understand the general travel habits of the participants and their attitudes toward luxury treehouses. The target audience for the questionnaire was individuals above the age of 18 who travel. For the qualitative method, two in-depth interviews were conducted with domestic luxury treehouse owners to get a deeper insight into the subject. The thesis explains the changes in travellers, the interpretation of luxury, the importance of experiences during travel and the relevance of treehouses in this modern world. |
