Abstract: | This study looks at how online reviews influence decision-making processes among international students studying abroad, with a particular emphasis on leisure travel incentives. With the fast expansion of internet usage and the popularity of online review sites, researching how online reviews influence foreign students' travel selections has become increasingly crucial. The study intends to give insights into this demographic group's online review practices, attitudes, and preferences, as well as their influence in molding leisure travel experiences. The study used a quantitative survey approach to gather primary data from 113 foreign students. To investigate the associations between different factors, the data was analyzed using descriptive statistics and crosstabulations. The findings show that international students rely heavily on online reviews when making leisure travel selections. The majority of respondents had great confidence in the authenticity and trustworthiness of internet reviews, with many stating that they consult them regularly during their vacation planning process. The study focuses on the specific features of leisure trip experiences that foreign students value while reading internet evaluations, such as lodging quality, restaurant/food quality, and transit possibilities. Furthermore, the study investigates how travel influencers influence foreign students' leisure travel selections. The vast majority of respondents acknowledged being impacted by travel influencers, with many mentioning that they had visited places highlighted in influencers' work.Furthermore, the study investigates respondents' intentions for future usage of internet reviews for trip preparation, as well as their willingness to consider alternate sources of information. While the majority of respondents said they would trust internet evaluations in the future, a sizable number said they were open to investigate other sources of information for leisure trip planning. In conclusion, this study provides illumination on the impact of internet reviews and travel influencers on international students' decision-making processes. Understanding this demographic group's motivations, habits, and preferences enables travel industry stakeholders to better respond to their requirements and preferences, eventually improving the entire travel experience for international students. |
