Description
Abstract:Global financial systems and regular financial transactions have undergone significant change as a result of the expansion of digital technology. The idea of a cashless society is becoming more and more prevalent in this shift, with the intention of minimizing or doing away with the need for cash in financial transactions. Many countries around the world see a cashless society as the future. A shift like this in Hungary would bring many advantages, but there are also many dangers. This thesis aims to examine the likelyhood of achieving a cashless society and to give advice on how to achieve it, using international examples and a survey of Hungarian people's payment habits.
