Kivonat:International trade is an indispensable activity in the process of global economic integration, through which Vietnam's agriculture has made strong progress and achieved many notable accomplishments. The economy has developed comprehensively and stably with a relatively high growth rate. The purpose of this study is to assess the impact of the European Union - Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) on the export situation of Vietnamese coffee. The research employs the Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) index to quantify Vietnam’s competitive position in the coffee sector relative to other major exporters. It also considers the broader implications of the EVFTA for Vietnam's coffee industry, including the potential for trade creation and diversion. Furthermore, by using and a detailed scenario analysis through the SMART model framework, this research examines the effects of the EU eliminating tariffs on Vietnamese coffee products. It specifically focuses on how EVFTA influences the coffee export dynamics and categorizes the impact on different product groups. Through a detailed analysis of market entry strategies, regulatory compliance, and technological adoption, the study highlights the significant opportunities the EVFTA offers for Vietnamese coffee exporters, such as improved market access and reduced trade barriers. This comprehensive examination provides insights into the transformative effects of the EVFTA on Vietnam's coffee exports, contributing valuable perspectives for policymakers, industry stakeholders, and researchers interested in trade dynamics and economic integration.
