Description
Abstract:Communication is in each person's life from the moment we enter the world. People during their lives learn and grow through communication. Ideas, opinions, and any aspect of human life are shaped by communication, this is how humans survive. The perspective of each person is formed by frames that people learn during their life from their environment and experiences. My thesis focuses on an analysis of the series "Fauda,” an Israeli series that deals with and represents the Israeli Palestinian conflict. It became a well known series around the world due to being streamed on Netflix, I ask the question whether a conflict can be solved or open a conversation with an art form of communication like a series, can it frame a new framing about the reality of the Israeli Palestinian conflict. Based on the content analysis of the series “Fauda” and research findings, I sought to answer the question of the impact that the series has on the perspective people have on the conflict and if watching the series changed anything in the way they approach the conflict. My aim was to explore the way art affects reality and how it can affect conflict.
