Description
Abstract:This paper examines the roles of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems on business growth and sustainable practices of organizations in the digitalized world. It uses a mixed-method that integrates existing literature with survey data. The study conducts an extensive examination of financial metrics obtained from public reports of companies which utilize ERP systems. Additionally, it incorporates data gathered from consulting company reports, overall market statistics, and disclosures from ERP service providers. As a result, the study provides a comprehensive evaluation of the economic effects of ERP integration. Meanwhile, the study is strengthened by a survey carried out among 18 end-users of ERP systems. The aim of the questionnaire is to gather real-life insights and perspectives of these users about how ERP systems promote sustainable practices in corporations. The outcomes indicate that ERP systems have a generally beneficial effect on business growth, as enterprises showed benefits and financial performance improvement after implementing ERP. Furthermore, the findings from a company survey demonstrate that ERP systems are making significant contributions to business sustainable initiatives by improving resource efficiency, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and promoting sustainable operating practices.
