Abstract:This paper provides an in-depth analysis of Kazakhstan's trade strategy and its integration into the global economy. It focuses on the changes that have taken place after the collapse of the Soviet Union. The study evaluates Kazakhstan's implementation of economic and trade changes with the goal of improving its trade infrastructure and diversifying its economy. Historically, the country has mainly depended on the mining sector. The study uses the OECD Trade in Value-Added (TiVA) database to examine Kazakhstan's position in Global Value Chains (GVCs), analyzing the degree and consequences of its economic integration. This paper examines Kazakhstan's approach to managing its economic relationships with major global trade market players and neighboring countries under geopolitical changes and global market conditions. Thesis examines the effects of these trade policies on domestic industries and their competitiveness on the global market. It includes a thorough analysis of strategic changes with the aim of creating a more favorable environment for international investments and economic growth. This research offers insights into the problems that Kazakhstan has in improving its international trade profile, using a statistical data and case studies. This report is a great tool for policymakers, investors, and students who are interested in the economics of Central Asia and the dynamics of international trade.
