Kivonat: | The bilateral trade relations between ASEAN and China are closely linked and have close exchanges. China has emerged as the largest trading partner of ASEAN in 2012, and ASEAN surpassed the United States , taking the position of China’s second largest trading partner in 2019. According to the official data showed on the website, During the initial six-month period of 2020, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) surpassed the European Union (EU) to become China's largest trading partner (Xin hua,2021). In the global economic downturn and severely affected by the COVID-19, the cooperation between ASEAN and China has been continuously strengthened in the area of trade, investment, and finance. Inparticular, this has been the case following the official presentation of the "One Belt One Road" initiative, China has greatly strengthened its direct investment in infrastructure construction along the trade routes with ASEAN. Because ASEAN countries are the begining location of the "Maritime Silk Road" and are also located at the land-sea confluence of the BRI, The significance of ASEAN to China's Silk Road construction need not be repeated. Promoting China-ASEAN bilateral trade exchanges and enhancing bilateral trade development will make China's southwestern region more open to the outside world. This thesis uses statistical methods to analyze the status quo of trade development between ASEAN and China, from three ways: total trade volume, structure of country, and trade structure by factor intensity and product type. Then, by measuring the relative trade index, HM index and trade integration index on China and Association of Southeast Asian Nations , the trade and economy interdependence between China and ASEAN countries is explored. And through the trade complementarity index, it studies whether the bilateral trade products are competitive or complementary. Finally, it analyzes and collects the various factors that influence the trade between ASEAN and China, and establishes an expanded gravity model tomeasure the value of trade potential between ASEAN and China. The results not only represent achievements, but also reflect on whether there are any unnoticed problems in the process, whether the results are in line with expectations, whether the results are in line with the laws of development, and how the results will change in future development. This is very worthy of attention and research. Therefore, this is the meaning of this thesis, to discover existing problems, study known problems, speculate on unknown problems, conduct research based on the current situation, and give suggestions. In conclusion, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and china ‘s bilateral trade has not been brought into full play, and there is still a large space for the development of bilateral trade between our country and ASEAN countries. Make country and ASEAN countries give full play to the untapped potential is a big challenge. The implementation of the initiative has provided more possibilities for China's exchangeswith countries along the route, especially ASEAN, which has geographical advantages. In 2022, ASEAN and China will become each other's largest trading partners, so the high-quality development of bilateral trade will become the theme in the future. The trade volume foe two sides has gradually increased, the scale of trade has continued to expand, and the reasons for the continued growth of trade are also diverse. |
