Description
Abstract:This thesis provides an in-depth examination of foreign direct investment (FDI) in Hungary, with a focus on key investors, tax strategies, and incentives. The study aims to navigate the complexities of FDI in Hungary, identifying the most attractive sectors and regions for investment, as well as the available incentives for foreign investors. Through a comprehensive analysis of existing literature this research provides valuable insights into the Hungarian investment landscape, FDI types and the connection between types and motivating factors. Furthermore, a wider part of the paper is about the biggest investing countries by inflow. The Chinese presence is greatly examined as well, supplemented with concerns against their presence. The thesis also gives a general overview of the Hungarian taxation environment. This thesis contributes to a deeper understanding of the country’s investment environment and informs strategies for attracting and retaining foreign investment.
