Abstract: | In the first chapter, the thesis introduces the research goals, which focus on the influence of food advertisements on children's eating habits and the moderating role of parental practices. It explains the mixed-methods approach, which includes collecting data from 100 children and their parents through questionnaires. The chapter also addresses ethical considerations and details the overall methodology. The second chapter examines the literature on how ads impact children's food preferences and consumption, evaluating the influencing factors and advertising techniques. In chapter three, the analysis unfolds, presenting quantitative and qualitative findings on children's exposure to food ads and the impact of parental influence. The fourth chapter summarizes and compares findings with existing literature, discusses significance, and suggests areas for further research. In the last chapter, the key conclusions and insights from the research are analyzed, highlighting how essential it is to combine multiple data sources to understand the effect that food ads have on children's dietary choices. |
