Abstract: | This study explores resident perceptions of overtourism and sustainable tourism management in Hangzhou, China. Drawing personal and cultural significance from my background, the research examines Hangzhou's rapid tourism development, driven by cultural integration and state investment. With challenges of overtourism impacting locals, the study focuses on sustainable practices and stakeholder opinions. The findings aim to inform government policies, enhance tourism education, and balance economic growth with cultural and environmental conservation in Hangzhou. |
