| Kivonat: | My chosen topic deals with the known tourism trends practiced in Thailand, as well as the shifts in these trends that were perceptible in the last couple of decades in the country, including the changes the country strives for regarding the image of Thailand in the eyes of the public. This thesis emphasises the role and significance of tourism in the country, touching on tourism trends, the dark side of tourism, cultural differences, and many more. Due to Thailand being one of the most visited tourist destinations worldwide, it is a significant player in the global tourism industry. It boasts a wealth of culture, making cultural tourism a major driver of its travel and vacation sector. The country also counts with a huge seaside/leisure, urban, nightlife and gastro tourism sector as well, that the thesis touches on too. Furthermore it also goes into detail about regional differences regarding tourism. |
