Description
Abstract:This thesis explores the role of mobile wallets in shaping consumer decision-making, focusing on both economic and psychological factors that influence adoption and usage behavior. Using established theoretical models such as TAM and UTAUT, as well as concepts from behavioral economics, the research investigates how perceived usefulness, ease of use, trust, and security concerns affect consumer choices. A questionnaire-based primary study with 111 respondents (74 valid) was conducted to analyze usage frequency, motivations, and feature preferences across demographic groups. The results confirm that younger consumers tend to use mobile wallets more frequently, driven by convenience and speed, while concerns about data security still act as a barrier for some users. The findings emphasize the importance of adapting technological innovation with user expectations to ensure broader adoption of digital payment solutions.
