As the adoption of AI grows across industries, how employees’skill levels get affected in their ability to realize benefits from AI is paramount to anyimplementation strategy. A quantitative research design was utilized for the study. The studysurveyed 120 employees from different sectors and functions to check the interaction patternswith AI. Moreover, it collected data on benefits offered by AI, skills level, and skillsdevelopment needs. The findings show that there is link between skills and benefits. Over 70%respondents indicate their skills are stopping them from getting benefit from AI face or in part.Despite their fairly decent skills in operating AI, employees show alarming gaps in theirabilities to assess data and verify outputs. The unequal skill set indicates that while numerousemployees can employ AI tools, they lack the necessary capability to analyze outputs. The useof AI technology is frequent, but more than 60% of respondents claim that they have notreceived training. A lack of time and money is the main barrier to learning skills. Drawing onthese conclusions, the study suggests programs emphasizing patient and investigationverification, as well as protective learning time and context-oriented resources. Organizationsenhance the strategic value of AI technology, while also minimizing the risk of uncriticallyaccepting AI results in decision-making processes, if the analytic skill gaps are addressed.
