| 520 | 3 | |a The thesis will analyze the economic changes of Russia in the past two decades, highlighting the most significant economic events in Russia's recent history, with particular attention to the impact of the sanctions policy imposed by the European Union following the annexation of Crimea. Throughout its history, Russia has faced various economic restrictions and sanctions, which allow for a relatively long-term examination of the effectiveness of sanction policies. The currently ongoing Russian-Ukrainian conflict and several sanction packages imposed on Russia, making the topic relevant. Considering the dependent economic relationship with Hungary and Russia, I feel personally interested about what possible changes or effects these sanctions will have on the Russian economy, and in relation to the European or Hungarian economics. Even though, the current sanctions are not suitable for analysis, using the countries past experiences with sanctions, this thesis will examine whether it is possible to predict the effect and impact of economic sanctions. | |
