520 3 |a Nowadays, water management has an increasing importance, as the accelerating changes brought about by climate change and the alternating periods of drought and flooding make the application of previously used methods more difficult. In the field of water management, there is an ever-growing need for the use of innovative and increasingly professional systems. This can be achieved through knowledge transfer, the adaptation of best practices, continuous research and development, as well as through international programs and financial investments. The reason for my choice of topic is to correctly interpret the situation of Hungarian water management, the directions of the water system, and, by presenting international examples, to understand the commercial relevance of water, which, through an innovative perspective, highlights the possibilities of strategic advantages and emphasizes the importance of water retention. My research question focuses on whether our water economy can have penetrating relevance from an international trade perspective, and whether it would be worthwhile to shape our economy based on the water demands of exported and imported goods. Moreover, my work will analyze the current state and future outlook of water policy in our country, which is indispensable for the complex interpretation of the situation. Regarding the research methodology, my thesis will be descriptive, through which the comparative illustration of individual water economy systems will be comparisons, and analyses will be used to shed light on certain conclusions. Among my research tools, the qualitative method will dominate, mainly realized through the use and analysis of documents, contents, statistical sources, and various databases.
