As the European Union introduces increasingly stringent legal frameworks such as the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) and the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), companies must not only maintain compliance within their home jurisdictions but also across their supply chains and subsidiaries abroad. This research examines the potential target markets, identifying regulatory differences, ESG expectations, and governance risks in each. Drawing on international standards, including those from the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), OECD, EFRAG, and Transparency International. The thesis proposes a compliance-centered expansion strategy that embeds ESG principles, ethical procurement, and due diligence development into the company's operations. Case studies of other market participants demonstrate that proactive compliance can serve as both a legal necessity and a competitive advantage. The study concludes that for the company, long-term success in cross-border expansion depends on aligning internal governance with external sustainability expectations.
