520 3 |a Today, employers have recognized the paramount significance of sustainable workplaces and the importance of employee well-being. This raises the question: Is there a connection between the two? This thesis provides a comprehensive coverage of the two concepts while exploring their interconnection and initiatives for achieving success in both, particularly in the automotive sector. The findings are supported by thorough research on the well-being strategies and corporate sustainability practices, along with an analysis of the impact of the latest innovations in the vehicle industry and sustainable production processes on employee well-being. A qualitative research study conducted through a comparative case study on Ford Business Solutions Europe and Ford Global Technology and Business Center further provides an evaluation through the Triple Bottom Line framework. The findings conclude that a strong interrelation exists between employee well-being and sustainability. It is also observed that sustainability is increasingly becoming a part of employees' expectations as a new yardstick for choosing a place to work.Exploring how sustainability objectives impact employee well-being on different levels and in different working environments is a missing research direction. Based on this interdisciplinary research, further investigation should be pursued into the specific ways to deeper understand how sustainability programs affect physical health, mental wellness, and job satisfaction.
