| Kivonat: | Our research explores the potential impact of ChatGPT on higher education, specifically focusing on bachelor programs. Using a mixed-method approach that included interviews with 12 educators, media outlet analysis, and Z-number cognitive mapping, the research aims to investigate ChatGPT’s role in higher education and understand the perspectives of teachers over the next three years. The research provides a foresight analysis of teachers’ perspectives regarding the potential impact of ChatGPT on higher education. ChatGPT has the potential to revolutionize the teaching and learning process and methodology in higher education within the next three years and it will also offer opportunities and challenges to the participants in higher education. According to our findings, ChatGPT can have a positive impact on personalized learning, student engagement, and AI-driven assessment. Thus, ChatGPT can be considered a new tool that could support teaching and learning methodology and could help to increase the overall student experience in higher education. On the other hand, it also raises ethical concerns and challenges in terms of pedagogical integration. Our findings can serve as a useful reference for policymakers, educators, and other stakeholders in the education sector. |
