Kivonat:The aim of the thesis is to examine the nature, causes and mitigation of social and economic inequalities in Hungary, with a special focus on the effectiveness of state and macroeconomic interventions in the period after 2010. The research is based on secondary analysis, using reliable domestic and international statistical sources (KSH, Eurostat, OECD). The work discusses in detail educational, health, regional, income and political inequalities, and also analyses the impact of interventions such as tax breaks, price caps, employment policy reforms and family support programs. The aim of the thesis is not only to assess the current situation, but also to formulate proposals for the development of future, more effective and just social policy measures. Through the international perspective, a comparison with the V4 countries is also included, which provides a context for the evaluation of domestic measures.
